Michelin Media Center Welcomes Global Press, “Drive Home II” Vehicles

January 3, 2016 -- The Michelin Media Center is back for its 29th year offering world-class support services and amenities to the more than 5,000 media expected at NAIAS. Considered “the best media center in the world” by the press corps, this year’s Michelin Media Center will feature the three vintage vehicles from America’s Car Museum (ACM) “The Drive Home II: The Heritage Run.”

ACM’s 1957 Chevrolet Nomad, 1961 Chrysler 300G and 1966 Ford Mustang — featuring modern winter tires from Michelin – will be displayed in the same condition they arrive after battling the winter weather during their 2,150-mile journey “home” to the Motor City for the opening of NAIAS. The 12-day winter road rally began in Boston on Dec. 27.

Returning to Cobo’s Grand Riverview Ballroom, the Michelin Media Center will provide more than 1,000 working seats, a computer center, catered café, lounge, coat check, social media updates and a list of other amenities, all designed with the media in mind. The media center’s location provides easy access to the show floor and to AutoMobili-D located in Cobo Center’s Atrium.
