Concours d'LeMons 7/29
Official Event Description: Not happy to lower the
standards of just one Concours weekend, LeMons brings Hoopties, Rust
Buckets, Misfits, Mistakes and the worst of the automotive world to the
Concours of the America’s weekend in Michigan. The Concours d’LeMons
Michigan will take place on July 29, 2017 at the Inn at St. John’s, in a
corner of the parking lot near the dumpsters. How fitting. But hey at
least we are on the property of a major concours. All of regular Concours
d’LeMons hi-jinx will ensue, capricious judging, bribery, awful trophies
and even worse cars. If you take yourself or your car very seriously, this
isn't the show for you.

The Concours d'Elegance of America 7/30
It was an outstanding day at the Concours d'Elegance of America in
Plymouth, Michigan. The estimated value of the cars displayed was $90
million dollars. 17 real Shelby Cobras were significant part of the total.
I don't think I've seen that many anywhere in the last 25 years.
Approximately 300 cars were displayed, including 8 Duesenbergs, 5 Auburns,
3 Cords, 9 Ferraris, 12 Packards, 16 Rolls Royces, 14 Lincolns, 9
Cadillacs, 8 Can Am Race Cars, 9 Drag Cars, 1 Tucker and 18 modern
supercars.
