(click on a photo below to

Mr. Dennis Gage, the star of the television show "My
Classic Car," takes an in depth look at the history of the Ridler Award,
the honor presented to the best newcomer car at the annual Detroit
Autorama, in "The Ridler Award: The Detroit Autorama's Best of Show" In 1957, the MHRA hired Don Ridler as a promotions agent and publicist for the show. Ridler booked bands that were popular at the time to play at Autorama. Popular acts like Duane Eddy and The Big Bopper helped gain attendance at the show. Ridler died an untimely death in 1963. The Ridler Award was established in 1964 in his honor.
This book takes a drive down memory lane, looking
back at all the Ridler Award winners since its inception in 1964, right up
to 2013's 50th Anniversary winner.
