The 7UP Mustangs, also known as the "7UP Edition" or "Feature Car," were a limited-edition variant of the Ford Mustang produced in 1990. The cars were part of a promotion between the 7UP soft drink company, Ford Motor Company and the NCAA March Madness Basketball Tournament. The cars were to be giveaways via a contest associated with the Basketball Tournament. After the cars were already in production at Ford, the deal fell through and the cars were no longer needed. These "7Up" Mustangs are sometimes known as 25th Anniversary Editions. These Mustangs were unique in their color combination and sought after by collectors for several reasons:

Exclusive Production: The 7UP Mustangs were produced to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Mustang in 1990. Ford collaborated with 7UP, the soft drink company, to create this special edition. Only a limited number of these cars were produced.

Distinctive Appearance: The most prominent feature of the 7UP Mustang was its vibrant Emerald Green exterior paint color, which was exclusive to this edition. The cars were all convertibles and featured white leather interiors, creating a striking and unique appearance.

Limited Availability: The production run of the 7UP Mustang was limited to approximately 4,103 units, making them relatively rare compared to standard Mustang models of the time.

Collectibility: Due to their limited production numbers and unique features, 7UP Mustangs have become highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts. They are often considered desirable additions to Mustang collections.

Performance: Mechanically, the 7UP Mustangs were similar to other Mustang models of the time. They were available with various engine options, including the 2.3-liter inline-four, the 5.0-liter V8, and the high-performance 5.0-liter V8 found in the GT model.

Legacy: The 7UP Mustangs hold a special place in Mustang history as a rare and distinctive limited edition. They are often celebrated by enthusiasts at car shows and Mustang gatherings.

Overall, the 7UP Mustangs are prized for their unique appearance, limited production numbers, and association with the Mustang's milestone anniversary, making them highly collectible among Mustang enthusiasts.
